Synthesio is an elegant enterprise-level social media monitoring, analysis & engagement company. It monitors the whole gamut of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube & Foursquare right down to blogs, forums and yes even China’s Weibo.
Synthesio uses a mixture of automated processes (collecting data from 100+ countries and 50 languages) and human analysts to monitor topics for clients globally. Synthesio claims that they have analysts that can monitor over 30+ languages globally, and currently provides auto-sentiment technologies in 10 languages (including Chinese). Corporate clients will have an account manager assigned to them to help in the analysing their requirements and the topics to monitor and the dashboard setup. DIY setup by clients is also possible.
Monitoring results can be downloaded as an Excel file for further analysis. Charts can be downloaded as a picture for presentation purpose. As this is a web hosted application – the client’s team can be situated anywhere in the world and is still able to access the same set of data and report.

It is easy to determine who are the influencer of a monitored topic in Weibo, Twitter, Facebook,etc. In the example above I’ve drilled down to only Weibo users.
It is easy to identify the communities that have a strong influence on the topics you are monitoring. Size of bubble correlates to the degree of influence.
